Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 7, 2025 · Last updated: August 26, 2026

WeeklyFlow is built to help you plan your week. This policy explains what information passes through the app, the limited anonymous data we collect to improve it, and where everything goes.

1. What we collect

WeeklyFlow stores your tasks, plans, and preferences on your device using local storage.

When you save a schedule with “Keep this plan”, WeeklyFlow also sends an anonymous copy of that plan to our own servers so we can understand which kinds of schedules work well and improve the app's scheduling for everyone. Each kept plan includes:

Separately, when you add an activity that WeeklyFlow does not recognise, it sends that activity's name, anything you wrote about it, and a numeric representation of that text, so the app can learn to recognise and explain that kind of activity in future. This happens when the activity is saved, whether or not you go on to keep the plan. It is never shown to other users.

When WeeklyFlow asks how two activities should fit together and you answer, it sends the two activities' names and optional descriptions, their category-like scheduling context, the order WeeklyFlow proposed, the option you chose, and their resulting order. This teaches us where a directional activity-pair rule is uncertain or wrong. Your choice is saved on your device and still improves your schedule when sharing is off; only this anonymous improvement record is withheld.

When you scan a timetable photo and then correct what the scan got wrong, WeeklyFlow sends the correction so the scanner can learn to read timetables like yours. Each correction includes:

All four kinds of collection above are controlled by the single “Share anonymous usage data” switch in Settings, under Help improve Weekly Flow. Turning it off stops all of it, and the rest of the app keeps working.

Timetable photos are separate, and off unless you turn them on. Teaching the scanner to read a timetable properly benefits from the picture itself, so Settings has a second switch, “Send timetable photos”, which uploads the photo alongside your corrections. It is off by default and nothing is uploaded unless you switch it on yourself. A timetable can show your school or workplace, room numbers, and sometimes your name, which is why this is a deliberate, separate choice. You can turn it off again at any time, and turning off “Share anonymous usage data” stops photo uploads too. Photos are used only to improve timetable scanning, are never shown to other users, and are never sold or used for advertising.

This data is tied only to the random device identifier, is not linked to your real-world identity, and is never used for advertising. It is processed for us by Cloudflare, which may store it in the United States and other regions.

The following third-party services also receive limited data as described below:

2. Google Calendar data and Limited Use

WeeklyFlow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

If you connect Google Calendar, WeeklyFlow may list the calendars you choose, read events for schedule context, create a calendar at your request, and create, update, or delete WeeklyFlow events after you approve those actions. Imported events are displayed as fixed commitments so the scheduler can flow around them.

Calendar event contents and OAuth tokens stay on your device or move directly between your device and Google. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness or lending risk, or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the requested Google Calendar feature.

3. What we do not collect

Aside from the anonymous data described in Section 1, WeeklyFlow does not collect:

4. How data is stored

Your day-to-day app data (tasks, settings, and plans) lives in local storage on your device. Uninstalling WeeklyFlow removes this local data permanently, and we hold no copy of it.

The anonymous kept-plan and activity-pair feedback described in Section 1 is stored on our servers through Cloudflare and retained so we can study scheduling patterns over time and improve the app. It stays tied only to the random device identifier and is never sold or shared for advertising.

Timetable corrections are stored the same way. Any timetable photo you choose to send is stored separately in Cloudflare R2 and automatically deleted after 12 months; the corrections that came with it remain useful after the picture, so we do not keep the picture longer than we need it.

Third-party services listed above retain data according to their own retention policies, linked above.

5. How to delete your data

To delete all local data, simply delete the WeeklyFlow app from your device. This removes everything stored locally.

To request deletion of the anonymous kept-plan data we hold, email shtnegear@gmail.com and we will delete the records associated with your device identifier.

If you signed in, Delete Account in Settings erases everything we hold for you: synced plans and history, kept-plan data, activity-pair feedback, timetable corrections, and any timetable photos you sent. Photos are deleted from storage, not merely unlinked.

To remove data held by third parties:

6. Children's privacy

WeeklyFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the last-updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
